PURCHASE ASSISTANCE/ELIGIBILITY

Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc., has been awarded a contract with The New York State Housing Trust fund to provide assistance with the purchase-rehabilitation of 10 single family homes for homeownership within Suffolk County, N.Y. Homebuyers who meet the criteria listed below may be qualified for a grant to use towards the purchase of these homes.

Eligibility Criteria: In order to determine eligibility for our program, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a First Time Homebuyer or not owned a home in the past 3 years
2. Be a United States Citizen, by birth or naturalization or have permanent resident status
3. Have acceptable credit rating and minimal debt with no bankruptcy or open judgments
4. Have a stable work history of at least 2 years, within the same profession
5. Have a savings of less than $ 30,000.00
6. Have a minimum total family gross income of  $ 45,590
7. Have a maximum gross family income for 2006 of : $ 86,660
